I've finished the four Flat Coated retrievers. It's not photographed as well as I would have liked as the tongues have bleached a bit, but it's the best I could do with the lighting conditions. It is for a gift but my client has said I can put it on the internet as it won't be seen. My client, who commissioned the piece, is thrilled with it. I hope it gets the same reaction from the owner of the dogs.
Another four subject portrait next which is also a surprise present so no blogging progress pics I'm afraid.
lovely work Jo.........whoever said that black dogs all look alike? you can see the individuality coming through loud and clear in this (they all remind me of different aspects of my Fred)their owner will love it!
ReplyDeleteI think you are very brave taking on so many portraits in one as I would be panicking about messing up on one and spoiling the whole thing (having said that I'm sure I wouldn't turn the work down) good luck with the next one!
Thank you Kay. It certainly was a challenge. I once did a portrait with eight subjects on....never again. I stressed about it so much that I would make a mistake and have to start again!! My next two commissions are big portraits with four subjects on....yikes!!:-))
