I am a self taught artist living in High Peak , Derbyshire. I started my pet portrait business in 2005 and have enjoyed continued success. I won Pet Paw-trait artist of the year in 2008. I am very proud of this award as it was voted for by the readers of 'Dogs Today' magazine. I have also done portait commissions of Farm rare breeds, people and Classic cars. Here's Maggie the second of Tricia's portraits. I was lucky enough to deliver both portraits myself on Saturday. It's a rare treat to actually meet the person who has commissioned me to paint their pet. Quite often my work is via the internet and I never actually meet the person who has commissioned the portrait. It was Tricia's 70th birthday on Friday so the delivery of the portraits was extra special. She was quite emotional when she opened the portraits as unfortunately both dogs had passed away. It made my day when she said that the portraits had made her birthday.

This is Jasper one of my latest commission. Tricia has had both of her beloved Border Collies done as portraits. Originally she wanted both on one portrait but had a limited size option as she wanted the portrait to hang in a particular spot in her home. As the area was limited I suggested doing the two dogs on seperate portraits so that they would be of a decent size.
