Harvey

This is another portrait that I did a few weeks ago which has been given as a Silver Wedding gift today. I've had a phone call, this afternoon, from the lady who received it and she thinks it's amazing....I love my job!!!

Crunchie

This is Crunchie the cat that I did a while ago but had to keep underwraps. He was given as a Birthday gift yesterday and his owner was pleased with the portrait.

Max finished

Max is finished subject to the owners approval. My client who commissioned me thinks it's stunning but I'm waiting for the owners approval now (it's a gift).

Next it's a Red Setter. I did a portrait of 'Tikka' a few years ago and her owner would like another portrait of her in a different pose. I'll hopefully start that one tomorrow.

Max

Here's another couple of progress pics. I'm hoping to finish this portrait today subject to the light as it's fading fast. I've got the daylight bulb on but it's not as good as natural light. Fingers crossed.

Max

I've been given permission, by my client, to show my next commission on my blog. This is Max a GSD/Rottie cross. He coming along quite well but it's a little slow going trying to build up all the colours in his fur. So far so good though. The main photo that I'm working from doesn't show any of his neck so I've got to use another as ref. and 'make it up' a bit as I go along.

I need to do a quick tidy up now as I've just had a call from a client who I did a portrait for a few weeks ago and she wants another so is going to call in with the refs for me to have a look at. The throws on the sofa's need straightening but they're full of snoozy cats at the mo. I'll have to get the vacuum out and then they'll soon move.

Louis

This is the Jack Russell I completed last week. I just love the look on his face. My client was really pleased with him.

I started my next commission yesterday which is another surprise portrait. I'm not going to work on it today as I'm full of a cold and don't want to spoil it by not concentrating properly. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow and be able to get on with it. We've nothing planned at weekend so I could work on it then.

Mouse finished

I've worked on Mouse today and hopefully she is finished now. I won't know, for a few days, if my client is happy with her.

I've really enjoyed this portrait with the subject being different than usual.

Mouse

I've only had time to do a couple of hours on Mouse today. She's coming along quite well now. I'm not sure if I'll get much chance to work on her over the weekend as there's quite alot going on.

Thursday 8 October 2009

Something different, Mouse.

I've started my next commission which is something completely different for me, a rare breed sheep called Mouse. My client has given me permission to 'blog' her even though she is for a gift, the recipient doesn't use a computer so won't see it.

It's taken me a while to get into all the twirls in her wool but I think I've got the hang of it now.

Polo

This is a portrait of Polo that I completed last weekend. I can post her now as she was for a birthday gift yesterday. She was quite difficult to do as the ref. photos weren't too clear but my client who commissioned her was pleased with the final result.

Stuff

Have been working on another Christmas commission today and its working really well and quite fast for a change. Excellent ref. though.

I should be able to post a pic tomorrow of another commission I finished at the weekend, as it will be given as a birthday gift tomorrow.

Hope all's well with everybody.

Stuff

Yay, a picture to show....well sort of. Breeze and Chile, the two Huskies I did a few weeks ago, framed. I think the frame my client has chosen really compliments the two dogs.

I finished another of the 'surprise' portaits last weekend and should finish another one tomorrow.
